| Ronald William "Ron" Howard is an American film director and a famous actor of the 1970s. Howard first became renowned as an actor starring in the 1960s and 1970s movies. Since he gave up his career as an actor, he has directed a great many films, including the scandalous blockbuster The Da Vinci Code, and its sequel, Angels & Demons.
The movie is grounded on the novel written by Dan Brown, the author of The Da Vinci Code which made the world split into two groups: its supporters and opponents, including the Catholic Church. Although The Da Vinci Code was forbidden in plenty of countries, a large number of people all over the world have viewed the film.

The plot of the film Angels & Demons concentrates on the intentions of Harvard University historian and iconologist Robert Langdon to reveal the enigmas of a secret society called the Illuminati.
The Catholic Church, in particular the Vatican, faces a crisis when the top four cardinals to supersede the recently deceased Pope are kidnapped by the Illuminati devoted to scientific truth. The Church is promised that each cardinal will be murdered one per hour starting at 8 pm, culminating with a detonation of an antimatter bomb underneath St Peter's Cathedral sharp at midnight wiping out the sacred city. To face down the terrifying threat, the Church calls upon the services of religious iconologist Robert Langdon played by Tom Hanks who knows a lot about the powerful underground society. He is put to work promptly, racing against time to find the kidnapped cardinals by deciphering symbols. Robert Langton together with scientist Vittoria tries to uncover the decease of the Pope.
The views of Rome in the film are glorious and captivating. The viewer has an opportunity to walk along the streets of Rome and visit the most significant historical and cultural places of interest together with the characters.
The film does well to engross interest through its explanations of historical events and the inside organisation of the Vatican. The plot keeps the viewer engaged and interested till the very end of the film. The story unfolds with extraordinary twists and turns that leave the viewer excited. |
